Internet is required for a few reasons, all of which benefits the tenants. Internet is required for the key card system, the call box for the elevator, the intercom to phone system, and the snow melt system. As you can see, internet is integral for the operation of the building. With that in mind, there will actually be 2 internet services. The primary connection will be Verizon FiOS with at least 1GBPS connection. The second will be Xfinity cable internet with a 300MBPS connection. If FiOS goes down for any reason, then services will fall back to Xfinity until FiOS is available again. This is all done in a communications room that would be handling your services as well.
